- OIM™ Analysis Features
The most powerful EBSD data analysis package available, which operates from within one piece of software. EBSD data display, analysis, and presentation has never been so easy to perform, yet so powerful in capability.
- DigiView IV Detector
DigiView IV is the latest member of the EDAX Electron Backscatter Diffraction (EBSD) series of detectors and is designed to serve a range of EBSD applications.
Using the DigiView IV in combination with EDAX’s OIM™ software, the detector can obtain orientation mapping data at rates up to 150 indexed patterns per second with indexing success rates of greater than 99%. The DigiView IV can also be used for Phase Identification using the Genesis and Delphi software applications. The detector can produce high resolution images up to 1392 x 1040 pixels.
- Maps, Charts, and Plots
An almost limitless selection of maps, charts, and plots to meet all your materials and mineralogical analysis needs.
- OIM™ 3D Data Analysis and Visualization
OIM™ 3D provides tools for the batch analysis of OIM™ data sets collected serially using an ion-electron SEM. Once identically processed the powerful 3D Visualization Software renders the data sets as a 3-dimensional solid. Six direction sectioning, pan, zoom, rotate, and grain selection functionality is easily accessible with a simple mouse click.
- Highlighting: Interactive Data Analysis
Immediate cross-correlation of charted or plotted data with features or textures in OIM™ maps.
- Grain Boundary Analysis
OIM™ is able to resolve material structure closer to the grain boundaries than any other EBSD product on the market. The triplet voting method paired with the patented confidence index (CI) calculation provides superior pattern separation and positive indexing at the grain boundaries.
- QuickGen Tool Bar
The QuickGen Tool Bar provides the user push button solutions to access the most commonly used maps, charts, and plots. User definable templates can also be activated, based on the OIM™ functions, processing routines, and graphical representations typically used in a particular laboratory. The QuickGen meets the needs of novice users, allowing access to predominant OIM™ functionality, and provides customizable features to grow with advanced users.
- User-defined Templates
User-specified analyses may be easily defined and accessed from the QuickGen tool bar. Complex analyses can be recorded for future application to EBSD data sets and routine analysis methods may be set-up for novice users to more easily access the power of OIM™.
